New eBay Tool Makes Watching Auctions Fun
The biggest problem you have on eBay is monitoring auctions. Whether it is your own auctions as a seller, or keeping track of auctions you are bidding on, or just interested in maybe bidding on.
Have you ever missed bidding on an auction because you forgot about it?
How many auctions have you never known about because someone used Buy-It-Now before you checked your favorite category?
Do you check your favorite categories every day, maybe several times a day, searching for antiques or other items you are interested in? If you wait on the eBay Favorites email, you will miss many Buy-It-Now items because they will be snapped up before you receive the notification email.
Sellers need to monitor their own auctions and see who has bid. They need to know if some clown is running up the price to an outrageous amount or to know what they can expect to receive for an item they are selling.
Buyers often want to watch an item before bidding or to be alerted if they are outbid.
eBay has tried to provide some auction monitoring tools, but they are lacking what even the average user needs. The eBay Favorites and Outbid alert emails often arrive too late. Other bidders can use buy-it-now and end an auction before the Favorites email goes out so you never know that perfect antique what-it you have been seeking for years was listed for $10 Buy It Now. You missed it due to the poor eBay alert tools.
How can you monitor items you are interested in without relying on the unreliable eBay emails? There is a free tool that will allow you to monitor auctions. It is called the Tadpole Auction Watcher. This program runs on your desktop and you can drag auctions you want to watch into it.
The Tadpole Auction Watcher will quietly check on your auctions and alert you as soon as there is a change. If you are outbid, you can hear a special alert sound. If you are a seller, you can hear an alert when anyone bids. I know that I like to know when anyone bids on any auction I am watching, whether I am selling or buying. It tells me how much activity and interest there is. Maybe if there is a lot of activity, I might change my bid to a higher amount. If other people are interested, then maybe it is more valuable than I first thought.
Do you check your favorite eBay categories every day? Several times a day like me? If you have several categories that you want to watch, you may have shortcuts pulled out to your desktop or you may have them in your eBay Favorites. This quickly becomes annoying. You have to load each site or login to eBay only to find out that nothing has been added. The Tadpole Auction Watcher will monitor not only your favorite groups, but it will monitor all of eBay for keywords, price ranges, and any other search criteria you define. It will then show you a list when any matching items appear.
Are you interested in a Rolex Watch but only if it is gold and under $40, setup a Tadpole Watch and you will see any that are listed as soon as they are listed. eBay does not allow you to set highly detailed search criteria. They only let you select keywords.
It is now possible to
- Receive Alerts when a bid is placed on an auction
- Receive an alert if an auction exceeds a price you set
- Monitor categories for new listings(all new listings or filtered by keywords)
- Conduct advanced searches easily and quickly
- See what other items a buyer has purchased in the past
- See what other items the seller has sold in the past
- Special option to check auctions for possible fraud indicators
You can easily monitor auctions, find items you want to purchase as soon as they are listed, and receive immediate sound alerts if you are outbid on an item, or if it is bid above an amount you set. Download your free copy and try it out. It will make eBay much easier to use and a lot more fun.
